Converting document set content type back to folders

Hi,

I had folders in a document library which I have converted to a custom content type based on Document sets.

Now I want to revert few document set items back to folder content type but after changing it from edit properties form, I am getting error if I try to open the folder.

Please help if anyone has faced similar issue and resolved it.
