Custom list definition code upgrade from VSeWSS-SharePoint 2007 to VSTS 2010-SharePoint 2010

Hi everyone,

We have custom list definitions with custom site definition created using VSeWSS 1.2-SharePoint 2007. We upgrade the code to VSTS 2010-SharePoint 2010 using the VSeWSS migration tool here.

Problem is that the SharePoint 2010 list created using the migrated custom list definition has unfriendly user interface on All Items view:
  - ECB context menu of list items do not open on-mouse-hover like in lists created from out of box list types (like Announcements, Tasks, Custom List)
  - Opening the All Items page in SharePoint designer we see that it uses ListViewerWebPart. However, lists created using out of box list types use the XsltListViewerWebPart.

Does anyone have experience/thoughts for the UI problem we face with the migrated custom list definition?
