We have created a discussionboard for gathering input to a project.
People may submit input and discuss those, which works really great.
However, the steering commitee need to discuss all the inputs and decide which one to implement, or to reject, and we would like to set a status on all main-threads to a status. (open, closed, hold and selected)
We thought of creating a column in the discussion and set permissions on that, but the lowest level of permission is on the listlevel, and not item level.
We also tried to create a separate hidden-list with the status mention above, and create a status-column in the discussionform that was of type loookup, that gathered status from the hidden list. This work somehow, but it does not set the status on the column only make the listchoices of the hidden list avablahe on the main list.
A possible solution might be to create four lists and manually move the threads to each cataegory, and have a content query webpart to show the different threads , but it seems to much work.
Does anyone have other solutions that may solve wht we are trying to achive?
