VS2012 Ultimate C# sharepoint 2010 project
I added a new content type, inherits from item.
I then added a new site column, type of choice with 3 choices.
Back at the content type I added this new column. Saved all and deployed.
I added this content type to a list and made it default.
When I select new MyContentType I don't see my custom column either in the view or on the form.
Did I miss a step?
Should there be any mention of this site column in the elements.xml for the content type?
I don't see one, but the site column is shown in the GUI for the content type in VS
