We are using SharePoint 2010 for our internal portal and have multiple site collections deployed over port 80 under different managed path. For all the site collections under a specific managed path (managed path /A), "Open with Explorer" is failing.
However its working for the site collection under different managed path (managed path /B).
We are using custom site templates and custom document library templates in our farm. We create site collection using the same template within both the managed paths. These site collection goes under different content databases (it follows round robin approach for site collection creation).
We are using Windows 7 with IE 9 and have checked WebDav services. So far we don't have any pointer for this issue.
Tried creating Failed Req Logs for http status 301 (this was the difference we observed using fiddler) which says "Access Denied", however not sure where it is throwing this error and for what reason. (I guess, I need to do some learning in IIS troubleshooting).
As of now we are completely stuck and we need to resolve this as soon as possible.
