color code for choice column in share point 2010 list

Hi 

I have list on that " Priority(choice column) "  colors (column),In Priority column choices are 1.Active,2.Suspended,3.completed.

I  Want display colors in  colors (column) when i select active then color in colors (column) will be green and for Suspended color will be red ,for completed will be lime yellow,

but after completion  I am not  getting  colors, instead of that  i am getting "red","green","lime yellow"
