Is it possible to make an apple touch icon on a sharepoint site?

Hello All,

I am trying to add the apple-touch-icon to my SharePoint sites ( Master Page to be specifically) and it doesn't work. But if I add the same to my regular web applications it will work. Does anybody have any success with apple touch icons on a SharePoint site? If so, could you please give me some direction on how to add them? I am using SharePoint 2010.
