I am having an issue connecting my SharePoint server (2010) to Visual Studio 2013. I've tried all possible fixes suggested in other posts:
- Adding IP/mapping to host file
- Ensuring all necessary permissions granted in the database
- Both registry key edits - BackConnectionHostNames and DisableLoopbackCheck
- Security Token Service is running
- My identity is added to local administrators group, farm admin and site collection admin
- VS is installed on the SharePoint server, I am not attempting a remote connection - when VS was first installed, my server appeared in VS Server Explorer automatically
- Office Tools is installed
I did notice a difference in the content of the Security Token Service folder on this machine and another SharePoint server - the machine I'm having a problem with contains two WCF Web Service files while the other server contains two ASP.net Web Service files. Could this be an issue?
Can anyone advise on other fixes that might exist please?
