How to test if a field (column) exists in a list using the Client Object Model?

Hello,

I need to test whether a list contains a particular field (column).

How can it be done?

In the Server Object Model we have the method 'ContainsField' of the SPFieldCollection class,
but this method seems not to be available in in the Client Object Model.

So what is the suggested way to test for field (column) existance in the Client Object Model?
