Sharepoint XSLTListViewWebPart custom searching

Hi,

I am using XSLTListViewWebPart in my project and it displays correctly with proper paging first time.

I also want to achieve custom searching and thus changing webpart XmlDefinitonwith the filtered Query. This does not display correct result.

So how could I achieve this functionality or is there that I can do to achieve custom filtering in it. Please suggest.
