Intern needing help setting up a workflow with Dynamic Analysts

Hello,

Recently I've started an internship at a large company where I was able to be proactive, and got my SharePoint 2010 administrator Certification! However, due to the lack of exposure from SharePoint, I do not know some of the more advanced features and/or functions of this platform.

I've currently undertaken a project in which I have to create a workflow which allows a user in any department in our company to send an project request to our 3 managers, from that point, any one of the 3 managers needs to assign this project to our various analysts (there's about 8 on my team).

I recommended to my manager that we also have a notification sent to the original requester/user, stating who the project was assigned to and the status update.

I've already created a list and am mainly operating in Nintex 2010, I wanted to know how I can make the workflow like this. I'm under a tight deadline, and would like to get this done ASAP, any help would not only teach me some valuable skills which I can use in future workflows, but also give me a better understanding of how this works.

My Proposed Workflow:

User (can be from numerous other departments in our building, there's about 5 or 6 that we support) ------Send Request-----> Our 3 managers ------Any one manager assigns this task to analyst --------> Analyst -------notification with name of analyst, and project sent to original User ----> User.

Also, I'd like it to send periodic reminders to the User (maybe once a week) to let them know the update on the status.

The work will be taking outside of SharePoint; I just need to use SharePoint so that we can use these lists at the end of the month to make reports, which we will present to the upper management.

Thank you very much!

MDS
