I am using a hosted SharePoint 2010 farm. I am trying to make a page available to certain users and not other users. I have created a sharepoint group and added 5 users to this group. I then created a new menu item and set the target audience to just that group. When L log in as a user that is NOT in the group, this user can still see the menu item.
Is there something else that needs to be set up to make this work?
The users are set up in AD (I do this via a web UI that has been provided to me).
When I "check permissions" for the user that can see the menu but is NOT in the group I have assigned, I cannot see any access that would be conflicting. The user has "limited access given directly" plus 2 other groups that are not part of the group I have assigned to the navigation in any way (no cascading access).
Any ideas what I could do to trouble shoot this?
