SharePoint Workflow Error

Hi,

In our SharePoint 2010 environment, we are using custom multi stage approval workflow for the Pages library. We intermittently are seeing "Error Occurred" for the workflow. When we looked into the Workflow History list it shows the step where error occurred. One more observation is that whenever workflow errors out, it populates some value in duration column of Workflow history list. Value showing in duration column is like

733,065,070 (0:0:1:13)
4,130,842,504,215 (4:18:44:44)
8,461,943,222,010 (9:19:3:14)

(in parenthesis I am showing Days:Hours:Minutes:Seconds from https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sharepoint/en-US/35f454ff-d7aa-4827-850b-893b1d18a541/sharepoint-workflow-history-list-duration-column)

Question - Is the duration any indication of why the workflow errored out?
