i am having this issue and i am really struggling in solving it.
Please i need the help and support as soon as possible :(
the request is to add some pivot tables and charts to my sharepoint site based on data stored in a list as a dashboard data.
after some searching i found that the best way is to use excel services to implement these components.
what i have done is the following:
- Create the list with its data
- Export the list to Excel
- create some pivot tables and charts.
- Save and upload the excel sheet into sharepoint library.
- Add a Excel web Access webpart and display the pivot by its name.
NOW: the issue is in Updating when there is any updates on the Sharepoint list all the pivot tables and charts are not updating.
how can i solve this issue? the business are really focusing on this point since these charts are going to be viewed by the top management. so they are not going to open the excel sheet -->refresh data -->and save again !!!
Or is there any better way to implement this request using another method instead of excel service?
