How to authenticate users by checking username and password stored in sql server database in sharepoint

I want to create a table which stores usernames and passwords. By checking these two users must be login to their appropriate pages in sharepoint 2010...

Please help me whether it is possible or not..If yes please explain me how to do that.. If No please guide me to the correct solution..
