Sharepoint 2010 + Visual Studio 2013 - Symbols not loaded

Hello, I have this problém for a few days now. I'm usually able to fix problems like this quickly but this seems to be a tough one.

I'm using VS 2013 + SharePoint 2010, I deploy the solution using visual studio and then attach to all w3wp processes, it worked well for some time but recently I'm getting this error:

The breakpoint will not currently be hit. No symbols have been loaded for this document.

The breakpoint symbol changes to a empty circle with an exclamation mark, as opposed to a normal red dot and the breakpoint is indeed not hit.

I've found that there may be many causes to this problem, I tried rebooting, redeploying, deleting all files in the project, even create new project but the problem is still there. I don't want to manually copy the pdb files (which are creating fine), I believe this has to be just some stupid mistake that I overlooked, but I can't find it.

Interesting thing is that it started happening on my other development environment, which uses visual studio 2012 + SharePoint 2010 and has been working fine for about 6 months before, but I don't know if it may be an windows update issue, or I just did some similar configuration change.

I will appreciate any inputs, I know I could reinstall the environment pretty easily, but I would rather get to the bottom of this, understanding more how this works in the process.
